Orlen acquires 1.759 mln Energa shares for PLN 31.6 mln

Poland's largest energy concern Orlen has acquired 1.68 million Energa power shares in market transactions on November 27 and an additional 79,000 shares on November 28, Energa said in a market filing. Orlen paid an average price of PLN 18.86 (EUR 4.29) per share, spending a total of PLN 31.6 million (EUR 7.2 mln) on the entire bundle.

Earlier in November, Orlen announced plans to increase its stake in Energa to 100 percent and said it would invite the company’s shareholders to submit sale offers, proposing PLN 18.87 (EUR 4.29) per share.

Before the transactions, Orlen held 376,488,640 Energa shares, representing 90.92 percent of its share capital and 93.28 percent of voting rights at the General Meeting.
